    Anyone who has spent any time outdoors in Ontario this season is going to have at least one “and we got rained-on” story. Earlier this week, Emma and I added another rain story to our list, as we paddled and portaged for over three hours in the rain.     Smartwool Merino Hiking Socks

    Did you know that a pair of socks can seriously make or break a good hike? They need to be the right material, the right weight and the right level of cushioning. I’ve tried several brands of hiking socks over the years, and have definitely come to the conclusion that wool socks are the best option for hiking, even in the summer.
