Having a Splash at Guelph City Hall

When you’re a kid, you don’t really care about municipal politics.  But we recently discovered that when you’re a kid, City Hall in Guelph IS a cool place to hang out….
Doesn’t matter what you think of current issues. Doesn’t matter where you live in the city: South, East, West, North or Downtown… What does matter is that we’re all from the same place when it comes to getting outside and enjoying what our town has to offer.

What matters when you’re a kid (or an adult) is that our city has a great new place to hang out, cool off and be active in the centre of one of the nicest communities in Canada.

You should go! Here’s what you need to know…
The City of Guelph water fountain is located in Market Square – right in front of City Hall on Carden Street. There are washrooms and a changing area which are open to the public from 9 a.m. – 10 p.m., seven days a week. There is also some seating available around the water feature.

The reflecting pool is about two inches deep, so it’s incredibly safe for all ages.

The fountains are definitely the best part of the feature,  with seven jets programmed to provide a great visual display –  and a great game for kids trying to figure out how to get really, really wet.
