The Ultimate Experience: A review of Algonquin Outfitters’ Ultimate Canoe Trip package

Disclosure: This post was originally published on the Algonquin Outfitters website as a sponsored post. Algonquin Outfitters provided me with the Ultimate Canoe Trip package in exchange for an honest review. All opinions and experiences are my own. Every year as we schedule our summer and fall camping and travel plans, we always include either a completely new-to-us destination, or an activity we’ve never tried. One of our most memorable “new activities” was my first-ever, mother-daughter canoe trip. 150 For 150 – An event for the history books

150 for 150 is a wrap and now a part of history. Like, officially part of history. It’s really hard to find the right words to describe what happened at that event. Since we haven’t taught Buddy how to use the camera and we wanted him to be in the shot, Alex set up the timer, placed the camera on a log and we ended up with this picture to mark the occasion. Well… this and the awesome memory of finding our 500th.     When we hit The Bruce Trail this last weekend, the BIG goal was to make a milestone geocache find. We…

A little Hike, A Few Geocaches and Some History

Our paddles and camping gear have been cleaned and officially put away until next year. So now, our outdoor adventures focus more on local trails. We’re really fortunate to live close to lots of beautiful trails, steeped in local history. We of often head to one of the Guelph Hiking Trail Club–maintained trails to enjoy an hour or two outside, close to home. We’re also fortunate that these trails have a lot of geocaches hidden along the path! This weekend, we returned to a section of the Radial Line Trail. We’ve hiked here once before, but decided to return to find some new geocaches that had been placed along the trail…
